Never really understood my, anyone know ?

Hey guys my 09 370z tourig/sport has some odd crackling noise coming from under the car. Even when I turn it of you cam still hear the noise what could it me it's always been like that. I've been around a lot of sports cars and I only hear it from my nissan and my 06 Altima to. Does anyone know what can be done to fix that crackling noise, maybe exhaust , who knows. Thank you for taking the time to read this I appreciate it if I can get any help.

Is it the hear dissipating from the manifolds and such?

03g35coupe6mt 04-24-2013 08:59 PM

could it be the exhaust making noises?

I couldn't really tell you it just sounds like its coming from under the car like the exhaust or something. Sounds like if rocks crackling or when you drop water drops on a hot pan but without the sizzle

It's very odd you can always hear it when I drive the car for 30min plus. I ignored it for th longest time ever but just sounds odd what should I do about it. Could it be something wrong with it, the performance is still there but the harder I push it when it gets really hot that's where you hear it crackling the most around the exhaust/underbody

It's still your exhaust cooling, don't worry

It's not a problem, it's not just nissan, it's not just cars or trucks. Bikes, planes, trains and most other things that get hot and then cool back down. Metal expands when it gets hot and contracts when it cools, that's what your hearing.

Thanks Kaien doesn't hurt to ask I appreciate it
