Default A few issues, need advice

Ok so I will start with the clutch:

a few things are concerning me. I have a 2010 with 46k miles. I bought used with 32k and it has done this a couple of times now. When I launch hard from a stop, the clutch will not slip at first until i change gears to second or third, but the pedal goes really soft for around 30 seconds after that first shift. It will go into gear but wont grab (rpms go up but car no go faster) then it does grab but pedal still feels weird for a little bit. has only happened twice. Not sure what that means due to the fact that after this happens as long as its not a dig launch I can drive as hard as I want and nothing will be weird. It grabs fine and the pedal is good. The second thing is that if I stop every once in a while at a red light cant get the car into first unless I put in third or something to "unlock" first. this is also a very rare occurance. these are my two issues with the clutch so any advice on this please let me know.

*I know its hard to diagnose online and blah blah but just trying to get an idea of what it could be or if anyone else has these issues. not looking to get flamed here. ALSO i know how to drive my car so im not tearing my clutch up or burning it out so please no comments on stop driving that way. I dont drive hard too often. This car is made for a little abuse.

The second issue:

When driving if i hit the gas with the car in drive gear the car makes a clink sound and when I let off it does it. Only when in gear. It sounds like the ujoint but again just want to know if anyone else has this going on. Our cars make a lot of noises and im still learning whats normal and not. dont want to run to the dealership for stupid things if can be avoided.

thanks for reading my book here but Im hoping to get a little more informed.

That clinking sound are your rear axles, its very common, and theres a TSB for it (although technically its only for the 2009 model, it happens to all Zs)

I had it happen recently and the dealer fixed it under warranty (my '10 is a CPO) in just about 2 hours, its just a lube job on the axle connection to the diff.

Your clutch woes are more than likely resulting from either your CSC seal breaking down or your master cylinder going bad from the resulting strain. You probably should upgrade to Zspeed's CSC as well as look into a new master cylinder.. 4hrs and $400 later, your woes should be solved

Sounds like a slave cylinder issue.

I guess Ill go to the dealership this weekend. I have the full warranty until 100k might as well use it. Sounds like its not the actual clutch but the components that go with it, which are covered. Just want my car to run the way it should. thanks for the input guys.

Yep thats your best bet (as long as you have a half way decent dealership to deal with).

When I called my service advisor about the axle click, he knew what it was instantly. Im sure with the amount of CSC issues our car have, theyll be able to discover that quickly.

Hopefully you do have a decent dealer, but I would not assume the average dealer knows much about any of these problems A TSB is a good start, but if they balk in any way you should be ready to explain about the common failure of the Concentric Slave Cylinder and maybe even provide them a link to one of the several threads on this forum documenting the issue.
