Any 6MT driver will tell you:

But no, you didn't. If it makes you happy, that's the only thing that matters. And stock for stock with comparable , the 7AT is faster.

I'm going to break tradition here and not say, "Yes.", because it's up to you (the driver) and what makes you more comfortable.

There are benefits to both, and with the sport mode & paddle shifters you kind of (kind of) have a MT.

For rush hour traffic I bet it's a godsend.

traffic is so nice no holding a clutch pedal in for hour(s) is great.

honestly i dont see any upside to a 6MT over a 7AT.

7AT wins in all categories really. ease of use, faster, more comfortable, etc...

It's just a purist feel.

However, for me it gives my left leg something to do. I've had surgery on it and if it just sits there it goes completely numb, then feels like it's burning from the inside (stupid nerves).

A clutch pedal fixes that, giving it something to do and keep in motion somewhat.

...And everyone is going AT. Us MT guys just want to be different.

Maybe it makes the car harder to steal (w/o a flatbed) too, as most kids/thieves don't know how to drive stick. <--- not sure if it's true, but kind of funny.

yea but a MT you just press in the pedal and drop the handbrake you can coast where ever you want. not in a AT lol

i could care less about the "purist" feel. it's all about performance and function over "form" lol

Well, I have a 7AT and I think it's amazing...
BUT here are the downfalls of AT,

It weighs more
It costs more to replace
It can't take as much HP
It overheats
No lightweight flywheel
EDIT: Oh, and they lose more HP through the drivetrain

i think the AT's on the nissans are cool because the paddles are stationary on the steering column

(mine's MT).
