There are benefits to both, and with the sport mode & paddle shifters you kind of (kind of) have a MT.

For rush hour traffic I bet it's a godsend.
traffic is so nice no holding a clutch pedal in for hour(s) is great.

honestly i dont see any upside to a 6MT over a 7AT.

7AT wins in all categories really. ease of use, faster, more comfortable, etc...
