Dont know what to do anymore if you can help me id apprciate it
Hello my name is Naum and i have an 09 370z touring i recently got into an accident, i side swipped a tree at 25-30 mph. Body work was fixed but then they ran into a crack engine cradle/subframe also the steering rack had a crack. They also replaced a wheel bearing to the left side steering wheel. i got the car fixed and told that there shouldnt be anymore problems but everytime i break at slow speeds theres a popping noise cant really tell what it is but it sounds like something under the car or the brakes. It feels like the dealer auto body keeps messing with my car its been so far 10k in repairs can anyone please let me know what to do. It feels like if i take it back again which i will do something else will be wrong with it.

Sorry about what happened, but can you please post a video?

Have you considered taking it to another dealer/shop to have a second opinion?
Is insurance still covering the repair costs or are you paying out of pocket? Time to sell & buy a new one? This sounds like it might end up being more to fix than to move on. |

If the falcon fixer can't fix it nobody can. Lol :ugh:
I think Depoint is right a video might help with diagnosis. Some people just don't know anything about cars and that's the sad truth. Some dealers just hire anyone to work on cars. A second opinion and maybe a web search for a similar problem on not just 370 but any car. |
i have a video of the noise but i am not sure how to put the video up. I dont think its necessary to get a different z because to be honest the damage was not that serious. it wouldve been. if i take it to another dealer what do i tell my insurance because every part that has been replaced was a least a grand or more and insurance covered it. This went from a minor problem to problem after problem. i didnt hear that noise till they replaced the wheel bearing, subframe and steering rack.

Did any other suspension components, like your control arms, get damaged?
Thanks, Alex Goodwin AlexG@motionlabtuning.com |
Tell them to retorque everything including the steering rack. Might be a loose bolt or nut.
