power steering fluid reservoir question

so i have this nifty idea of fabing a power steering reservoir tank but i have one question... i want to get rid of the POS yellow plastic one and make one that matches the rest of my bay  does this tank have to "breathe" like the radiator coolant overflow tank? i do realize the the fluids expand and the fluid rises and falls so i would need to make a breather hole correct? so it doesnt f*ck up my power steering pump?

i was looking at the cap and it has a maze sort of thing and its not threaded or anything if anything its freaking lose so i assume thats how it releases the pressure.... any insight is greatly appreciated

Breathing

Did you ever figure out whether the OEM 370Z Power Steering Tank breathes or not?

I just took a look at the cap/tank on my '09 and it looks to me like it is vented through the square "tabs" on the side of the cap with the "maze" in the cap minimizing any liquid escaping. But I'm no Engineer.

power steering fluid reservoir question

It should breath a bit why at the track some fluid does come out and we put a rag and zip tie

I got one of these free since I buy project mu brake pads, this is what I cover my stock: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MzA2WDMwNg...T,w~~60_12.JPG
