Tomei 3.90 Final Drive Gear Set Anyody?

I did a search on these and nothing for posts or threads pop up. Does anybody have these installed? If so could you reply on with a review of the product? If it is somewhere in the forum I apologize just let me know and I will remove this.

I don't have them installed but have done a little research on them in the past. Most people will tell you it's not worth the 5% increase and to just get the 4.08s instead if you're staying NA. Also anyone please correct me if I'm wrong but it will mess up your syncro rev match if you care about that.

There is a cheaper 3.9 gearset from Nissan for the G37 verts if I remember correctly.

I would guess Tomei just rebrands the OEM 3.90 Frontier gears. I use to run the OEM 3.90. They felt about 1.5 tenths faster than the 3.70 stock final. If gas mileage is not an issue and you plan to stay NA, then the 4.36 final is the best.

So what does that do to your gas mileage? LOL and I am assuming this is not much better for a daily driver?

W/the 4.36 final gas mileage averages about 17 for me. I don't have a reflash/tune. These gears are way more fun than the stock 3.70 final for daily driving IMO.

Man that is a huge parts list. I really wasn't planning on dropping that much into this but it is interesting. I take my car to the dragstrip what gear do you end up getting into in the 1/4? I am assuming that 17 is city? They may be more fun but would you say they are practical for daily driving in a small town?

The 17 mpg is combined. I don't have a tune to lean the A/F ratio. I'm consistently around 3,300RPM while cruising. I think since you're into drag racing you would really like the 4.36 final drive. I've never dragged my Z yet. I'm waiting 'till I get better tires, which won't be 'till next APR at the earliest.

Got a link for those? How bad is that gonna kill me on my mpg? The problem is I want best of both worlds, its my dd and when I can I go to the drag strip.
