RPM spike and delay from 4th to 5th gear
I've noticed something for a few months while driving my Z (automatic). Whenever I shift from 4th to 5th gear, the tranny hangs a bit. There's a noticeably longer delay in catching the next gear and you can see the RPMs jump right before it goes to 5th. There aren't any clunks or anything of the sort. Aside from that, the tranny is smooth. Any idea what that could be or what I can do to fix it?

I only notice something similiar to this if I'm using the paddle and I'm going like really slow in 4th gear, like 30 or 35 ish. or maybe around 40mph hard to remember exactly but I'm rarely going that slow when engaging 5th or I'm just in automatic mode anyway in heavy traffic.

Happens to me every day during the first couple of "shifts". 2011 7 AT here. Mentioned it awhile back on here as well and really just learned to live with it. One of 3 things will happen, 1) I'll blow the transmission up and get it replaced 2) Nothing at all will happen to the transmission and I continue living with it 3) I'll trade it in before the warranty is up and not care one way or the other.
