Hey guys check it out!

I drove by the dealership on a whim tonight and my car was parked outside.....

Covered in birdshit and dirty. Is it acceptable to let a sports car just rot with all that grime/dirt caked onto the paint + bird chit?. Also the hood is no longer sitting flush. Good to know Erricksen Nissan of Edmonton is letting my car go to rot outside on their parking lot.

Here is the car on the day I delivered it to them:

Here are two pics of the car tonight...

Anyone else as disgusted by this as I am?

That is disgusting but what do you expect the dealer to do? They can't keep your car in a bay because that would be a money loser for them. Maybe you could approach the manager and ask to have the lot boy wash it weekly? It's not their fault that parts are slow coming. It appears that more than just a head gasket needs replacing and I doubt the mechanic damaged your cam. I'd be pissed also but Nissan warranty will only repair/replace parts to correct the problem. No auto manufacturer will replace a block for a leaking head gasket or a damaged cam. Not sure why your dealer is not telling you the extent of the damage as they have no reason to be deceptive about it.

Its not just a 'leaking' head gasket.... Do you even realize how much collateral damage results from a blown head gasket? Were talking antifreeze/water in the engine block.. everywhere that oil goes.

Maybe I'm crazy that I expect Nissan to complete the repair in a timely manner and take care of my car while doing so.

No, rape them... Paint has bird shít... Fùck you repaint the body panel...
It might be a loss for them to leave your car in a bay, but they could just shuffle it around...

Sad part is they have a giant parkade about 50 feet away from where my car is parked for vehicle storage. It really isn't my problem that Nissan can't procure the parts they need to repair the vehicle. That is no excuse to allow the car ot rot outside while they wait. I'm headed to the dealership to record a video of my car in the daylight in it's current state.

Yes, I know what a leaking head gasket is and it usually doesn't cause catastrophic failure. In most instances, little to no damage to the engine. What exactly were you doing when this happened because its not adding up for a simple gasket failure. Hence, the damaged camshaft.

Yea I am fully aware it doesn't add up. I drove the car regularly.. Pushed it every now and then. No hard launches or anything, rarely broke the tires loose. The leak came on slowly it wasn't any obvious failure. The smoke out the tailpipe slowly grew and grew until I realized what was happening.

Yea no kidding a cracked camshaft + headgasket doesnt add up. I guess you should ask Nissan how a brand new engine can have a cracked camshaft and a cracked head gasket on an engine with 8000 miles because I don't know. The service manager in the dealership today told me both parts were due to manufacturer's defect. Well considering the chance of manufacturing defect for both parts is somewhere around .1% that puts the chance of both parts failing around 0.01%. I guess I won the lottery of manufacturer's defect.

The odds that both are on the same engine... .000001%
Then again Nissan seems to be having a lot of .000001% errors between the two of us, lol

It's not a Versa. It's meant to be driven harder than that.

well I talked to the stealershit today. They recieved the cam shaft and the engine has been re-assmbled. Now they can not get the engine to start... ETA unknown.

Thanks for doing an experimental rebuild on my time Nissan if your reading this. Your handling of this situation has been absolutely dismal.
