That is disgusting but what do you expect the dealer to do? They can't keep your car in a bay because that would be a money loser for them. Maybe

Maybe you could approach the manager and ask to have the lot boy wash it weekly? It's not their fault that parts are slow coming. It appears that more than just a head gasket needs replacing and I doubt the mechanic damaged your cam. I'd be pissed also but Nissan warranty will only repair/replace parts to correct the problem. No auto manufacturer will replace a block for a leaking head gasket or a damaged cam. Not sure why your dealer is not telling you the extent of the damage as they have no reason to be deceptive about it.

Maybe I'm crazy that I expect Nissan to complete the repair in a timely manner and take care of my car while doing so. |

Yea no kidding a cracked camshaft + headgasket doesnt add up. I guess you should ask Nissan how a brand new engine can have a cracked camshaft and a cracked head gasket on an engine with 8000 miles because I don't know. The service manager in the dealership today told me both parts were due to manufacturer's defect. Well considering the chance of manufacturing defect for both parts is somewhere around .1% that puts the chance of both parts failing around 0.01%. I guess I won the lottery of manufacturer's defect. |

Then again Nissan seems to be having a lot of .000001% errors between the two of us, lol
