Im sorry I am very confused. Could you explain to me real quick why the stock car in the first chart makes 315rwhp and then on the second chart it makes 260rwhp stock?
I mean the gains largely depend on this. If the car makes 260 stock then we are talking about a 90whp change. If we take 315 stock then the gains are more realistic at like 45hp. 350whp on bolt ons though???? sign me up!! Even at 310rwhp sign me up! Last edited by RCZ; 12-11-2008 at 05:04 PM. |

The first run was two different states of mods. The second graph was stock compared to all the mods. It specifies it in the .PDF title.

That is absolutely amazing! VQ is a beast to begin with. It reacts really good with mods. I can see the newer VQ from the 370Z react even better than the G37. I should also say that Z being lighter, you'll feel a lot more raw power. Good dyno

^ That's what I'm hoping for. I'll actually be able to hold off on boost for a little with that much power on tap (plus a small bottle, of course ).

Having dyno tested a half dozen VQ37's in the G37, I would expect the same 250whp bone stock on our dyno. With some bolt on mods, an easy 270-280whp.....or over 300whp on a typical dynojet. This engine is a top end monster, and loves to rev. It makes power nearly all the way to redline.
Here is our baseline VQ37 bone stock...50 miles on the odometer, if I recall correctly.

I haven't dyno'd the car in over 2 years now. Back then I put down 336awhp/322awtq. Before I started taking my car apart it was most likely ~360awhp/360awtq. After I get this damn thing back together I should be putting down ~450awhp/400awtq on pump.
