Well if it is a hub attached dynomometer then the numbers are you inflated 20+ horse power due to it not losing anything from the weight of the wheels/tires and the friction of the road surface.

What you're thinking of is a dynopack dyno. Same for me, if I get the 370 then the Evo has to go. Oddly enough we have the same payments. Last edited by Evolved; 12-26-2008 at 06:23 PM. |

450/mo??? How much are you putting down and planning to spend on the car?

OH! 72 months! For a second I thought you had like NO interest at all.
My Trans Am was 22K when I bought it and my payments were 400/mo. But it was for 48 months.

If you are talking about 280hp roughly baseline, then 350hp IMO is not sooo crazy. Normally, on higher performance motors, improving the breathability makes a large impact. Headers, exhaust and intake could potentially be good for 30-40 hp. And cobb can do some pretty serious things with their tunes. OK, maybe 350 is on the HIGH end but I would think 330-340 is a pretty good estimate.

Only thing is, historically with the 350Z everything already flowed really good, so there weren't big gains at all with the typical n/a bolt-ons (intake, exhaust, etc). That's why for a lot of people some of the big numbers coming from the VQ37 seem very far-fetched.
