Looking to add quick HP - HOW?

Ok I've gotten into the whole Z fever. :ughdance: I wanna go faster now. I have a 2012 370Z Touring - so far all stock. What are the quick easy ways to add HP?

Otherwise I am looking at adding an exhaust and air intake and tuner? Suggestions!

Or if I do all that and want to add a supercharger later is it all for not?

Help?!?! :tiphat:

DR_ 12-21-2012 01:46 PM

This post belongs in engine section. Intake, exhaust, and uprev are great first mods and will not interfere with a supercharger later on.

Just slap some NOS stickers and racing stripes to help with the aero dynamics of the car and call it a day.
Or you could research and go from there.

Use the "search" function.

kellyefields 12-21-2012 03:06 PM

:iagree: but exhaust is always needed even with a supercharger. tune you can do without especially with just the bolt on stuff. intakes will go away with a supercharger so jsut get drop in filters to save on money for boost.

G37sHKS 12-21-2012 05:21 PM

Test pipe, Exhaust system and Uprev custom tune is all you need for "quick" HP.
For later if you decided to go SC or TT you don't have to chance the modification you have done.

JDM stickers at 5hp each. Get about 10 or so of them

From what I have read and seen. There is not so much that you can do for a big noticable gain in HP beside going into forced induction which runs up your wallet pretty fast with these blocks.

Best way would be an RB26/30 engine swap :D

Oreillyauto has a great drop in part that will add all the power you need.

Thats Awesome. Can I get that for a 2011 base/sport??:bowrofl:

cheshirecat 12-24-2012 05:39 PM

Biggest bang for the buck would be test pipes. Not the easiest install, but whatever- that's your answer.

I got one of these. It's fun, but not real reliable. When it runs low on juice. You might find yourself someplace else. Woke up too many times wanting to do a double coyote ugly.

Man, that just gave me a couple of ideas. :tiphat: One, you could use that to supply fresh air to your brake rotors at low speeds. Two, your could supply cool air to behind the front bumper when in traffic. This might help with your inlet temps.

///PureSwank 03-28-2013 07:53 AM

There is no way this is reliable. Nk more then 30 seconds at a time! What if you forget lol BOOM!!! lol

I found out about turbochargers about a year ago and had them installed. It makes 450whp quickly. Hope that helps.

well good for you that you made more than 10 dollars an hour at 19.

Jordo! 03-28-2013 03:22 PM

What's your budget? How easy and quick?

Quickest, easiest, and cheapest (< $100) is a set of K&N panel filters, which will actually net decent gains, and can be installed in about 1 minute.

After that you need tools and a few hundred bucks at minimum...
