Default Amsoil was the first synthetic

It came out before Mobil 1. It is very good and you can read more then you want to know about this group IV oil on Bobistheoilguy. Most folks in the know respect Amsoil and it is always at or near the top in most folks choice. I have done various oil analysis with Blacktone with it and it always performs very well even beyond 12,000 miles. I have not used it in a Z but on two other vehicles it has far exceeded my expectations even keeping a great TBN at over 12-15,000 miles. Not sure if I would run the 370Z over 12,000 on an oil change without monitoring the oil analysis but they say their best signiture can get 25,000 without breaking down. Not sure but I have seen over 20,000 with good TBN numbers which to me means that the oil still has plenty of additives.
