6mt weight?

Anyone have an idea of the 6mt transmission weight? About to pull it, and just wanted to make sure my smallish jack could hold it.

Default 6mt weight?

Anyone have an idea of the 6mt transmission weight? About to pull it, and just wanted to make sure my smallish jack could hold it.

I didn't see a weight given in the TM section of the 2009 FSM, but maybe this will help your search:
Transmission type: FS6R31A

Edit: According to http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...470686_0_42659, 130 pounds.

Edit 2: That's probably dry weight with all "accessories" removed. I'd add at least 70 pounds to that figure, just to be on the safe side.

Anything that's still attached to the tranny when you drop it, but not part of the tranny unit. Brackets, hoses, mounts, &c.
I've never removed a 370Z tranny (and hope I never have to), so don't know what may be involved. Just trying to err on the safe side.

Actually it was a fairly easy removal. I took a bunch of pics so I'll put a DIY up later this week when I'm back in town. Replaced clutch, pp, flywheel and installed the zspeed hd CSC.

Glad to hear it went well. And that you took pics - hope to see them soon.
