Front Strut tower brace options???

Anyone know of any aftermarket options for the front strut tower brace over the motor? I'm mostly interested in it for engine dress up purposes, but wouldn't mind something thats lighter/stronger also. I searched the internet and see that Zele offers one (which probably costs an arm and a leg), but was wondering if theres any other good brands available. THanks in advance!

IIRC the Zele is around $2.5k and the only one available that would be better than the factory....... Best bet is powdercoating your factory.

Ok thanks guys.... That looks like a good route!

Japanjay 12-01-2012 09:03 PM

Yeah mine was $60 for the powdercoat and maybe another $40 for the hand painting.

The engine bay may be "classy", but that piece is now quite tacky!

strut tower brace with stillen supercharger

Hi,

I am looking for a strut tower brace for my g37 with a stillen supercharger. I'm hesitant to buy just any strut tower brace becauase I'm afraid it won't clear the additional plumbing that the supercharger added. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is there a known strut tower brace that will work with my set up or am I just being paranoid? All help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Here's a link to a post on myg37.com that addresses your question. They had good results with the GT Spec Strut Bar:

This Frankenbrace looks like crap. Like they made it seem all complicated so they could charge a no doubt outrageous sum. :stirthepot:

In the end that's what it is...top tier companies like ARC and TOP SECRET feed on one inability to make or create anything with thier own hands!

Titanium is expensive

Welding is harder than normal

Strut bar pictured above is well over 1k! Worth it?

No longer in business. :ugh2:

Haven't actually seen anyone with the Top Secret one though. Haven't seen anything about GT-Spec making one for the 370z either. :(

ARC BRAZING is the new ARC

Sad but I think the new FRS/BRZ sold the aftermarket...most companies looking for the next big thing...

Agreed. Our cars just came out at the wrong economic time, so we got chumped.

Worth it? It looks good in person and is very unique and different but it really comes down to if it supplies better support. I do not remember if TS claimed any benefits over the stock one besides weight savings.

24k gold plate the oem one, bam !

Honestly I think it looks worse than the stock bar PC'd. And certainly not for the cost. The burnt Ti just doesn't work for me. :ugh2:

Now if you wanted to say you had Everything done by TS, then I could see it, but at the time you finished with it all, you might as well of just bought a GT-R. :icon17:

I want to do mine white. I also have a PW like you. I think it would compliment the car nicely.

Matching the color/finish of wheels is always a good bet. Helps bring in the exterior look inside the engine bay.

I agree however not much of a difference from the stock bar if I were to powered coat it matte black.. I want to do my brakes strut bar and other accents in white however I know what a PITA it will be to keep clean.

Are you planning on having any decals or emblems inside the engine bay like you do on the exterior? Matte Black would be the perfect background to have something airbrushed on your bar?
