370z - Vibra-Technics Compliance Technology

looks like some different engine mount solutions for our cars. apparently this company is huge with bmw guys. can anyone see any advantage/drawbacks to using these? i.e. vibration, noise, etc...?

Z1 Motorsports 370Z/G37/R35 Urethane Motor Mounts

Z1 has come out with some recently which are adjustable slightly and have different levels. Of course increased vibration & noise will occur, but it will depend on the level of stiffness you run.

From the Z1 site, but applies to all hipo mounts:
Quote:
More direct engine feel - An inherent trait of the 70A durometer Energy Suspension Bushings, the stiffer engine mount bushings provide more driver feedback and feel.
Put the power to the ground - The stiffer engine mounts help prevent engine twisting during ON/OFF throttle transitions and launches. This helps transfer more power to the ground, quicker by reducing the amount of energy lost through engine movement.
"more driver feedback and feel" = noise and vibration.

its not about new and old. If it were an old car going back to OEM if your tear might be good if you just tool around town.

For those who get serious about tracking, these type of products are generally for them.

Those who only drive it to shows and put this on... uhmm..
