Fuel Pump Replacement

So my Z broke down this morning and it turns out the fuel pump is done and needs replacement. Probably from the couple of fuel starvation issues I had while pushing it in some twisties. Anyways the car is bone stock and would remain like that for the forseeable future but I need some suggestions on a replacement pump. The original nissan fuel pump is over $300 so that is just not an option. What are you guys using?

Try this place HANLEES HILLTOP NISSAN. They offer Nissan oem parts at a record low! lower then msrp they got all dealers beat. Not to mention free shipping for the month of November.

Please ask to see your old pump. It would be the first case of the stock pump actually failing. Get pics for us if possible!

If you get fuel starvation badly enough it will refuse to restart; but have you put some more gas in and retried?

It is very easy to swap the pumps on these cars. Probably a one hour job. I would look at purchasing a used pump in the F.S section as all the forced induction guys would have the OEM pump kicking around. Probably pick one up for under $100.

As cheap as Walbros are, is there even a point to installing another OEM pump?

It comes down to one wanting to modify the pump assembly for the walbro pump. OEM replacement is much faster and simpler.

Really? I've run Walbros on quite a few cars. They've always worked well, other than the noise.

Prolly just a bad experience, Walbros r pretty much the standard in almost every FI kit. But Denso's r nice also but nuttin wrong with Walbro

Walbros are noisy and not as reliable as OEM. I'd only do that if you honestly needed more fuel pressure (i.e., for boost).

Isn't your pump still under warranty? It shouldn't have failed.

As for starvation in sharp turns, I thought someone on here offered some sort of swirlpot fix?
