but there is more than just boring out to 62.5mm the shaft was cut in half and the arrow edged the butterfly plate im pretty sure there is a picture in one of my album here. edit; to see the true power potential of this mod , the intake tube, specificaly the MAF tube has to be bigger than stock to maximize the Hp gain. the OEM MAF tube size is 60mm with the big MAF sensor in there so there is a restriction ,,, the MAF section has to be able to flow more than what it is at the TB to see the result. ok I was looking at headers and was wondering kind of what has been touched on here. I'm running stillen gen3's and exhaust ,so I was thinking stillens HFC and headers was also a good route? I want to stay legal as this is my daily driver so does that mean LTH are out of the question?

Yes LTH are out as well as TPs. You need a cat to be able to pass smog if they smog test in your state

I'm surprised at how much people do headers compared to the previous VQ motor. Most could not justify cost and installation for the gains. Is the gains that much better than the DE motor?

Yes it is. I've seen three cases where they are, so I went this route to. I had no luck with headers on my DE motor before. But with the Momentum headers and the way there designed with the collectors inside makes them better than most. So when combined with our new motors it just works.

It wouldn't be that bad at all just a little less. There's a lot to gain from these headers from what I've seen so they would be worth it.
