headers (long tube) are great if you dont mind running without cats and the pain in the *** to install

I'm just waiting for the delivery of my headers and contemplating doing the install myself at our local hobby shop with a lift or do just not deal with it and pay.

What did you do? If you installed yourself and had to do it again would you just pay someone?

ok I was looking at headers and was wondering kind of what has been touched on here. I'm running stillen gen3's and exhaust ,so I was thinking stillens HFC and headers was also a good route? I want to stay legal as this is my daily driver so does that mean LTH are out of the question?

Yes LTH are out as well as TPs. You need a cat to be able to pass smog if they smog test in your state

I'm surprised at how much people do headers compared to the previous VQ motor. Most could not justify cost and installation for the gains. Is the gains that much better than the DE motor?

Yes it is. I've seen three cases where they are, so I went this route to. I had no luck with headers on my DE motor before. But with the Momentum headers and the way there designed with the collectors inside makes them better than most. So when combined with our new motors it just works.

The Momentum 350Z DE headers.

Won't the test pipse stink up the inside? you have to use em right?

Not really. I smell raw fumes when at ideal or coming to a stop when windows are down. But I love that. I guess you could run HFC from a 350 but dont remotely expect the gains.

I bought the same headers along with 350z Berk TP's. SPOHN, I'm assuming you are going to do the install yourself? I'm not sure I'm brave enough to tackle this since I'm in a corporate apartment complex... however since I'm in Texas, UPREV is right down the road so I may see what they'll charge with install and a tune

Sure am. Tomorrow. It's the third time I've done it so I know a lot of tricks and certain tools to help a lot. Course being the radiator core support is off it's a lot easier. The stock manifolds are off already so I just have to slap these on.

No I didn't. Every tIme I've been on the dyno before headers I've hit between 305 and 310whp. So I'll be using that after I get tuned with my headers.
