Please! Need help!!
I was told our cars takes 5 1/8 quarts of oil, i put 5 quarts and didnt know how to measure with redlines quarts for the 1/8 so i just added a bit, but i dont know if it was enough!!

"You're" good. Some will fill up the filter. As the engine heats up it will expand slightly too and increase in volume.

No, just, usually my cars are 5 quarters flat.. I didnt know how to measure 1/8 of a quarter so when i noticed how much i had i kind of panicked since i added more oil blindly. I didnt know if i added too much or too little. Next time ill have a measuring cup

I've never heard anyone refer to a quart as a quarter. But I guess it makes sense. 1/8 of a quarter is 1/32nd of a gallon.
