Default Twm short shifter problems

So guys i bought the twm shirt shifter and installed it myself then reinstalled it again because it didnt feel right. Im having concerns with it. When i drive it has a hard time switching gears stops in neutral then goes into gear. Shouldn't it be smooth from one gear to the next? Also it is grinding the gears even with my foot all the way down on the clutch and idk why its doing that. I loosened the linkage bolt to see if that helps. It didnt. So if anyone knows about what i can do or what the problem is that would b great! This was my first time installing a shifter on my own car was an easy install and everything lined up correctly but if yall have advice please let me know. Otherwords i may be selling this

Could be, but you said this started with the shifter install right? Have you thrown the stock one back in to see if the issue goes away?

I just dropped a B&M SS into the Z and noticed it was a bit notchy at first, but it worked into smoothness. Also, the first go round, I installed the plate that stops the shifter from drifting too far right the wrong way, and that definately affected thow smooth it felt. I dont know if the TWM has this plate. GL solvin this one man

Yeah it started with the shifter install so idk. And it has that plate too u have to have it to keep from going in reverse on accident. But its mostly notchy from 1st to second and 4th to fifth is hard too which could b that plate. Lee if u have thirty minutes sometime today or tomorrow to look at it that would b great! How long did it take to go away? And it grinds the gears pretty bad and idk if its me or the shifter or what. I dont think its me cuz it does it even with the clutch to the floor before moving the shifter.

shoot I didnt realize Lee was in the SA area. It took at least a day of driving around, but if it still grinds with your clutch to the floor, that sounds like something else.

It's not going to be smooth. You whet from a Plastic bushing to a metal bushing.
