Another Z with Nitrous

Nissan 370z with Nitrous

Well, starting off with a 50 shot (definitely fell the pull), I have left everything stock, just closed the gap on my Denso Iridium plugs to .038, besides that no changes. I shouldn't have any fuel pressure problems, since our Z's can pump enough for 125 shot and below (above 51 fuel PSI)... it drops down at the higher rpms but not biggie... but still wouldn't push it:ugh2:. Already sprayed a full 10lbs bottle with no probs:tup:. I have yet to get times at the track, but will post here once I do. I plan on moving up to a 75 shot after the first few runs;). Have a unique placement due to the sound system, but we made it work without losing any seat room or visibility... just had to tilt the strut bar to accomodate the bottle. A very clean install I think. Only activates at full throttle, or I can arm it at later gears (above 2500rpm) as long as the pedal is all the way down. :driving::tup:

It was the only possible place without losing any seat room...

I actually like the placement of the Nos just not the placement of the Amp. Super Sick!

edub370 10-04-2012 10:49 AM

2 5 pound bottles would probably fit behind the seats on the parcel shelves

LEGA-Z 10-04-2012 11:35 AM

Yes they would, but I didn't want to hide the bottles either:) I like my setup guys:tup: Plus I would lose those shelves, and they are all I have left! Lol

Chuck33079 10-04-2012 11:53 AM

I'd be terrified the bottle would be hitting me in the back of the head in an accident.

Depends on the state..

Some states if the bottle is closed they can't do anything others are not so forgiving.

I have always just put them in the rear hatch and put and cut out the bottom of a duffel bag. So even if you looked into the car it was not noticeable at all but if you want to show it off just simply take off the duffel bag and you got yourself a show piece.

(Texas Law) Nitrous oxide when used as an oxidizer, is not illegal. Nitrous Oxide Systems are not illegal to own/have installed. They are only illegal if used on public roads/streets/highways. I would say though, to disconnect your feed line from the bottle just to avoid any problems when dealing with officers. I myself have bumped into a few cops at gas stations and they definitely noticed the bottle. They just shook their heads lol.
