Between 16.5 and 17.5%, going by alledged bhp and dynojet measured whp with SAE corrrection (higher whp typically found with STD). Lower loss value is typically associated w 5th vs. 4th gear pull.

So... about 17% on the average.

i put down 335, where the dyno averaged for baseline 270-280

you gotta remember people only give there best runs... my drop to as low as 330-334.7 so what does that tell you?

it was at performance motorsports in long-island

love to see more NA power but i dont think there are any economical cost options

I put down 334whp dynoed in Dallas. 5500 serious mustang dyno. AWDtuning in Dallas. 61 degrees.

This might be a some what valid question for NA cars but I don't believe the loss is consistant once you go to FI. I believe that there is a certain amount of upfront drive train you have to overcome no matter what and then some percentage additional beyond that depending on power level.

I dyno'd 342 at Z1's dyno when I got my tune. At Znationals, it was in the 320s during the dyno competition on a hot day with heavier wheels, but still was the highest NA Z there, by a good margin that day.

this subject will never die since anyone can change any of multiple variables to putup big numbers. every dyno is different and some people may even skew their numbers for an array of reasons.

like mike even said different wheels will change it. if someone wanted to make higher numbers just wait for ideal conditions, lighter wheels, manipulate the loads and variables in the dyno software, etc... and bam! high HP numbers.

Not if you know how tuning works and you sit next to the tuner as he adjusts on the rollers.

That's what I do, by moving the decimal point.

My Z makes 3165 hp. Not bad for NA. It runs a 1.27 sec quarter mile (I move that decimal point too, just the other way).
