If you re-track you actually made a comment about how much I spent. When in reality not every Shop is an Uprev dealer. So the norm here on average is most pay 300 for a license. How is he at fault?

I didn't know there was a difference. Why wouldn't they all be the same? If you have a cable and you tune, you should all be the same. But whatever, I'm at fault for not knowing that. At least I didn't resort to being rude, calling ban and its better without him comments.

That was not on a different dyno. It was on the same dyno during a dyno day at Znationals.

btw, as for labor for a tune, it should be pretty high. I know John spent well over 6 hours of dyno time tuning mine.

I think they were using 4th gear at the dyno competition to save the dyno brake. Hence the lower numbers.

Z1 does std correction. 66 degrees vs 77 in sae I believe. It will always show higher. Sae is industry standard. Take off 4% is what you need to do. That's why the motor shows 332 stock vs low to mid 270's at the wheel on dyno jets in sae which is the correct numbers and 18% drive train loss.

Mike has and other cars have gotten within the range as well. It is not just the headers in that package that make more power... The modified plenum is crucial.

Z1 used their intake (which is similar to a gen 3) and a tomei single exhaust + test pipes. If you have gen 3 or equivalent with a High flow exhaust the 400hp package works as advertised.

With just the headers and a tune from someone other than z1 you are right... cars haven't been hitting 340+. But they don't have the manifold or a Jon Parham tune LoL.

And as far as the accuracy of z1's dyno ... I doubt there is a dyno out there that has run more 370z's. They have a wide range of results and would not market their kit at 400 crank HP if they weren't ready to stand behind it.

Do you have a dyno in SAE from them? Because you can't stand behind STD. I 100% believe the dyno is accurate. I love dynojets!! But STD is just not the factor to use.

I don't think I've ever seen a Z done in 5th. To many people say the car will max out untuned or something or they didn't want the rollers going that fast. It should be 5th though and you are correct it will read higher. I think most do 4th though so at least the majority can compare numbers.

Z1 always uses 5th always besides when they host a dyno day. The dyno takes a lot of abuse and gets hot. While SAE might be true numbers, STD numbers are used when comparing numbers between cars.

I really careless in the end. As long as my car is not running lean, especially on the high end I'm good. My numbers are lap times and that always can get lower.

I'll ask Jon. They just hit 338 again with the package. #checkoutthez1motorsportsyoutubechannel

I like to mention about how no dyno read the same ...

What I would be very curious to see is a true stock baseline and those modification

but I think from what I remember stock 370z get about 270-275whp on his dyno. which sound about right at 65whp over stock...

it could be better though hehe

Is there anyone with a running stroked 370z or g37. I've seen boosted and stroked but not just stroked. I would think they would have the highest hp NA. But it's damn expensive for a stroker kit.

which is probably why they are all boosted, if you are going to spend that much on a motor you'd want to build it for low compression and boost it.

That title of, "The most powerfull N/A 370Z" means alot to some people, especially the tuner/ engine builder. I think that is more bragging rights than a boosted Z. What Shamu is doing with his VQ, i would do in a heat beat if mine wasnt a DD. Custom stroked, high compression, and HR heads
