Nismo Exhaust Question
Searched but couldn't find the answer.
Is the Nismo Cat-back exhaust system the same as the exhaust system on the Nismo 370z? Thanks, Read |
No they are not the same.

Thanks for quick reply. I assume the "S" tune is generally accepted to be not quite as good

The S-Tune is NOT a true dual exhaust whereas the factory Nismo CBE is. TBH the factory Nismo CBE isn't even that great sound or performance wise. Took the stock Nismo off mine and replaced it with a Fast Intentions CBE. If your really stuck on getting a factory Nismo CBE I'd be willing to part with the one I took off (it only has about 1300 mi on it). |
Yeah I'm probably looking at getting a factory one (I've had aftermarket exhausts in the past and just dont want to deal with NVH - emphasis on the N). I've seen nismo ones going for like 2-400 around the forums but I think the limiting factor is shipping. Hit me up with a quote if you'd like. Charlotte NC.

Haha I'll try to youtube it, but I'm sure my computer speakers won't do it justice.

Still thinking I'll go Nismo. Plus I just feel better buying stuff made by nissan (or at least for nissan). If you are serious about selling Gomer let me know. If you want to throw in your CBR then that's cool too!

I found a local member selling the OEM Nismo cat-back and took it off their hands.
I understand there are other systems that make more power and are subtly louder, but that doesn't appeal to me anymore. Getting too old I guess. ;) Anyway, back the OEM Nismo, fits perfect and sounds good. I like the h-pipe vs. the factory y-pipe configuration. |
That's exactly what I was going for DCpatters (H-pipe)

OP, just do a search for "Nismo Exhaust" with a [For Sale] prefix. I found atleast 8 listings on just the first page. I've been so busy with work lately there's just no way for me to get my OEM Nismo CBE boxed, shipped, etc.

Ive got the S-tune. I got it for the sound, the tips and because I got a killer deal on it. Would I recommend it at full price? No, unless you really really really really really want it over the plethora of other options out there. A take off nismo will achieve the similar results for far less moneyz.

Nismo
Op I did this swap from oem sport/base to a oem Nismo. Picked it up used for $350. Fit well, the rubber isolators rattled and they just unbolt. Plus there was one hanger bracket that I was missing. Everything else bolted right up. No dyno numbers just something else I was able to tinker with. The tips are more noticeable. I was in Charlotte just last week.
