Ah, that makes sense.

So did you do an actual dyno tune at an UpRev dealer or was this one of their etunes?

Just curious. You certainly can't complain about 314 rwhp. :)

I definitely recommend the pulleys. It improves power throughout the rpm range. On that same note, a new flywheel would prove worthwhile as well. But I wouldn't get it unless the clutch goes out, or your getting an upgrade.

I'm not a fan of altering engine harmonics.

Dyno tuned at Z1 Motorsports. Got the baseline then had the parts installed and dyno tuned right after.

Ok, good to know. Z1 is awesome!

Since when was the stock pulley a harmonic balancer? Looks like a pulley to me, albeit a heavy one. Oh wait, it has a rubber band...

Back on topic, if you had the funds and willpower, headers will definitely give you a boost in power, I would say 10whp or more on your setup.

wow you were running pretty lean before the tune (if I'm reading it correctly).. bet it feels a lot stronger now

You think so? I have only seen a few dyno graphs for headers but none of them looked like there was any notable power difference at all. I am talking about shorty headers and not long tubes of course

I noticed most of the power after 5k rpm and a definite jump over 6000. I might even bet that if you adjust you rev limiter to 8k, you might make power all the way there. I was still making power at 7500 rpm and I'm running with no tune. (fixing O2 sensor tomorrow) I'll be getting a tune done soon though... Definitely before I leave again.

i love my headers they make great power!

i to am running out of ways to add power while staying NA

dont you have longtube headers though? Not really the same as shorty headers. Maybe I'm confusing you with someone else but I thought you posted somewhere that you have longtubes.

Which headers do you have?

Did you install the m370 yourself? How hard do you think it is to install without a shop?

babbagandu 07-24-2012 12:03 PM

No I didn't do any of the install myself so I can't really answer your question. Maybe someone else will chime in

I've been thinking about adding this mod myself, but I was reading some other threads that some guys lost Hp? thats the last thing im trying to do, but from my understanding its a direct bolt on so I dont think it would be too dificult.

You will lose hp at the top end but gain hp and torque throughout the midrange. You can see this on my dyno graph...power levels off then drops slightly after 7000 rpm

Pretty sure you need a tune though otherwise you will lose power with this mod. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

I did the install in my garage and I have no mechanical fortitude besides just knowing what's looks right and what doesn't

Get some hex keys for your socket wrench, metric deeps sockets, extender, and very basic tool set. With the hex keys on your socket wrench, you don't have to disconnect the throttle bodies from their connections. Took me a few hours, but I didn't have the right tools at first.
