CAI and rain...

Stillen Gen 3, Injen CAI and rainy conditions... what do you guys think? I would put either one of these in but I wouldn't want to soak my DD's engine

K&N makes some filter bags that repel water, I think they're like $26 each. Put those on and don't worry about it

The only reason why Stillen and Injen talk about hydrolock is if you drive through standing water.

Great, thanks for the heads up guys. Much appreciated.

What's a reasonable price for gen 3 install? since that's the better one of the two (according to popular belief). I'm asking because I don't want to install the gen 3 my self since it requires cutting stuff and boring out holes.

Thanks in advance guys.

I've never had any problems whatsoever with my Stillen G3s, even in torrential downpours (one of the few times I've had to drive in the rain with the Z). Never any problems. There are a number of threads about Injen intakes having more frequent problems with taking in water standing or not, getting water on the MAFs and causing drivability issues.
