Clutch & Flywheel

hey guys im wondering what the best clutch and flywheel set up is the best to go with, any suggestions?

What are your goals or plans with the might I say? These will help a lot with what type of clutch is needed for certain purposes.

I have the same question.

What I'd like from the upgrade would be, faster revs and a tighter clutch pedal feel.

PS: that's for fun street driving (I don't race, I just want a real sports car feel)

Well im not gonna be doing anything serious to the car for about a year or so, but just for now i just want a good quik car with better throttle response and a decent time down the 1/4 mile

If you want a better pedal feel, take off the stock assist spring. It's a good start.

Sounds to me you just need to get a basic clutch from Z1. Saves weight and performs well over stock.

what do u guys suggest for a z that will be have around 450-500hp max, few track days here and there, but mostly street driving, quick shifting, quick revs, and the pedal feel is not a huge concern. I looked into JWT HD clutch plus southbend steel flywheel, or compete jwt kit, or complete southbend stg 3 kit, any suggestions based of what i have said? Advice is much appreciated guys, thanks.

I say go with the JWT Clutch & Flywheel & ZSpeed HD CSC.

BlackZeda 08-06-2014 09:27 AM

I just had a JWT clutch and flywheel installed and am loving it so far. The travel needed for full engagement is dramatically shorter with a very positive feel. The return pressure is a bit greater, but nothing too dramatic. My Z acts like a whike new car in a good way!
