what is my car doing when..
ok, say im accelerating aggresively, and there is a bump, a dip really, and my wheel momentarily leaves the pavement. even if not, it causes the traction light to come on. (around 20 mph) the car limits (or temporarily eliminates) power to the wheels, right? also, does it automatically upshift when this happens? (7AT)
thanks guys also, i was looking for a "tech" section to post in. closest i found was interior / exterior section. figured general would do. sorry mods |
I don't see why it would change gears... It's just cutting the throttle back so you don't crash into a tree.
|
also, traction control was on. wondering what the difference would have been with it off??
|
the hell is this tread doing in the exterior/interior section?
|
I would've put this in Engine/Drivetrain, but anyway...
That's your traction control. It detects that the wheel that is off the ground, or close to coming off the ground, is spinning slightly faster so it cuts power. |

lol im a dumb*ZZ

so if traction control is off, would it potentially just bounce off the rev limiter until i let off the gas? or landed lol

either way, traction control "off" now. i dont like my power being limited lol

i recommend you not do that too much though cause it does wear your drive train quite a bit to mash the throttle over rough terrain. go easy over bumps. |
