Problem- Need Help!
This morning I washed my car from head to toe. I spent a lot of time washing the wheels, but never sprayed inside the engine bay.
Note: I have an AEM intake I go to start the beast and the engine sputters and dies. I start it again and it sputters, barely making it into the garage. First: I pulled off the bumper, removed the intake cones and let it dry. Now it starts, idles for a minute, bogs down on its own and dies. I have pulled the MAF sensors and am drying them as well. My question: WHAT ELSE SHOULD I DO and is an immediate oil change necessary?!?! Thank you. |
My guess would be the maf sensors got humid. I don't think there's any need for an oil change I doubt any water got in there. Drying the maf sensor should be all you need. I've seen it happen with intakes get humid and the car won't run right.

Update:
Dried the MAF sensors and same thing! Runs for thirty seconds, bogs and dies. Any other advice?!?!?! |

I just used CRC MAF cleaner and reinstalled the sensors. I also put the cones back on and disconnected the Negative terminal on the battery.
In 10 minutes, I will fire it up and let you guys know. I have had the cones in front of a fan for about 4-5 hours so far. |
she's running!
Bogged down a few times, but held on. Road test in a while. Now my window wont roll up though?!?! |
roll the window up manually, hold it in the "Up" position for 10 seconds after it reaches the top, repeat for the other side. Fixed. :)

Glad to hear everything is working. Keep us updated. Thats why I'm not really a fan of a "true" cold air intake.

UPDATE:
Got everything back together and it seems to be running strong. I was just paranoid I guess! |
