5.7 in a Z?
If this has been asked, I apologize up front. I did a search and found nothing on this subject. Would it be possible to wedge a Nissan 5.7 V8 in a Z? and how significant would be the mods?

a LS series swap would be much more doable.. IMO just boost it and call it a day. 500whp is more than enough on the street. If you want a V8 buy a mustang

Thanks
Thanks for answering but I asked if it was doable not whether anyone thought it was a good idea. Each of us has our own individual likes and dislikes. If I liked Mustangs, I would have already bought one.

Thanks, I really appreciate your post. That is what I was looking for. It would make no sense for me to investigate such a set up if the engine just plain would not fit without excessive mods. If that had been the case, there would have been no need for me to explore it further so I started with the "doable" question first. This really helps. Now, as soon as my ship comes in.... (so far only a row boat has showed up).

The main issue with this project path and keeping it a Nissan V8 is space.
As you can see the engine will poke through the hood a little probably, he has removed a lot from the engine bay which is fine if this is a dedicated track car, but keeping certain comforts might make it difficult to fit it all in. I think this would be a fun project, but be prepared for a lot of one off parts and long days of problem and problem.
