UpRev Orisis software did not work on my 370z
Just wanted to let you know that there seems to be an issue with the orisis software not being able to flash my ECU. After talking with their tech support today, they have seen this problem recently in one other car and they are not entirely sure what is causing the issue. My car is a 2011 370z so perhaps the orisis software does not work with some of the newer ECUs...not really sure. They are working with the other shop that had the same issue to see if they can resolve it. I hope they do so I can put a tune on my car.
Without a tune and using only Stillen shorty headers and the Berk HFC, with stock intake and stock exhaust, it made 300 whp. I hope they sort out the issue soon. Cheers. Martin

Champion did all the tuning on my old c6z06. Kevin is their tuner and he is excellent to work with. He looked into getting the pro tuner version of uprev but they want too much money to make it worth his while. So I just bought the tuner version myself and he will do the tune for me. Kevin owns Cartuning which focuses on turbo kits for GM based cars.

yeah I think having the Tuner version is the best investement in my opinion and I ended up upgrading to the Pro tuner few months ago.
it does offer a bit more but its not for everyone . If I knew Champion Motor before I would have go there when I did my comparasion between 2 dyno (dynapack @ sg-motorsport Vs Dynojet @ Dasilva Racing) .. Dasilva charge 150$/hours Vs Champion Motor at 125$ on their website im going there tomorrow to confirm a test with a bigger Throttle body. (2 test ; oem TB & Bored TB) |

I was going to go to Advance Powerhouse for my Uprev. Does champion motors just have a dyno and you need your own tuner cable?

champion motors
at the moment, champion just has the dyno and you will need to provide your own tuner cable. When Champion's tuner called UpRev to inquire about getting the pro tuner kit, apparently UpRev wants something like $200 for every tune that is done using the pro tuner kit. It is not like most tuner kits where the tuner would pay something like $15k to have unlimited tunes.
So it did not make financial sense to the tuner at Champion to purchase the pro tuner kit....according to what he told me anyway. Martin.

I always used the dynapack from SG-Motorsport but since he closed I had to look for another nice place to use their dyno and I did a comparaison between both shop in november. the difference was 3whp ! I try to stick to the same dyno to reduce the chance to have another dyno which could be be reading higher or lower... As for the TB , it was to confirm that there was actualy gain . ( 5-9 whp) The TB was bored & tweaked by a shop in Toronto. |

champion motors helped me install custom brake ducting
Since there were no kits available I decided to do a custom brake ducting solution working with champion motors. There is a DIY for brake ducting in the DIY section...and I followed his approach except for the passenger side. I decided to take a slightly different route and cut a little more material away allowing a larger 3 inch hose instead of the 2.5 inch hose he used. I removed the attachment point flange from the coolant container and also cut away material from the plastic to the right of it. In one of the pics below you can see this opens up a nice hole to put the 3 inch hose through.
Champion had a shop spin up some flanges for us to attach to the brake dust shield (which we cut a hole through). You can see the flange riveted to the dust shield in one of the attached pictures.

UpRev still not resolved the issue
Well UpRev is really not sure why their software will not flash my car. I am going to go to a local shop called Advance PowerHouse that uses the uprev software and see if they are able to help.

If you're using "Orisis" and NOT "Osiris"? You may be using a program for a civic? Lol JK. Thanks for the thread. I have a 2011 as well so I will be keeping up with this as this may affect me in my near future.
