Exclamation Help with a Transmission problem?

My car is making a harsh noises coming from the shifter/transmission area on any gear above 5000 rpm, lower rpms are perfectly normal. I did a search and one similar thread appeared, but no answer was posted. Is this a bad transmission? I changed the transmission oil several hundred miles ago with 3 quarts of Redline MT-85, should I put stock fluids back in? Also will they void my transmission warranty? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In the GT, or 370Z?

Ford has known issues with their communist transmission. Talk to a COMPETENT dealer.

I speak with my dealer before using different brands of fluids and installing mods just to make sure I can maintain my warranty.
If you're going to get your transmission checked out (which you should), change the trans fluid back to the Nissan factory OEM fluid.

Pop off your shifter bezel and see if any of the plastic pieces have worked their way loose. My z had the same issue, turned out to just be buzzing trim (at about 5500 rpms and up).

Im pretty sure it shouldn't matter which oil you use. This has been discussed on the forum often already and as long as you within the oem specs on the oils you use (engine, trans, and Diff) they can't reject it.
