weird noise?
Probably wrong section but it appears that this area is most traveled. So after I had new tires installed and allignment done i get a clank noise when accelerating from 1st gear. To narrow it down i very lightly push the accelerator peddle down and up and you can hear it twice. Im not %100 sure on what it is just wanted to see if anyone else had any similar problems.

manual or automatic? This transmision is pretty noisy
manual, its not the usual rattle it's clearly related to torque though in my opinion.
Mine did this since new. Mine is coming from the LSD. It hasn't gotten any worse. I believe it is normal. FYI, I have about 36K on mine.
thanks for the info niz, but it didn't make it before the alignment so im not sure what it could be. being that my commute is long to work and its my dd, i have to put up with hearing this stupid clanking noise till atleast thursday! aarrgghhhh
I know it sound like a bunch of pebbles in a tin can rolling around, that sound is a sports car sound my friend, everybody got it including me. Dont worry , u worry 2 much.:tiphat: Relaxxxx
yeah the pebbles in the can i've known to be normal. It's similar to a bad bushing dound when you get the popping from it? BUT it happens on accel and decel or when you have body roll back and forth. No worrys here im under 3yr/36000 and am giving the techs something to work on. :) plus I just got married!!!! LOL

Problem solved, half shafts are dry and need to be re-greased. It requires a special lube according to the mechanic at the dealershi which will be here Thursday.
Just saw this thread...yep same thing happened to me on the 350Z. A little grease solved this clanking. Those are the fixes I like.
I'm sry, but what are half shafts exactly? When would one start to hear this kind of noise? Is it common?
ugh mine started to do this too.. later this week im going in to nissan to see what they can do about it. first real problem with my car (22k mi)
i got to 23800 on my car and they started.scgracer you fall under bumper to bumper 3yr/36mo warranty so it's covered. I am going to ask for the nsn so i can order it and have it on hand for the next interval.
