Unfortunately credit would only(jk) allow a 2012 Base model, so I purchased a 2011 diff with 8k on it. Looks new but wtf am I missing to install it asap!! I know the cover has to be pressed, I need parts info on what I'm missing.. let's just say it's JUST the lsd itself. Thanks

I am also very interested in how to do this as well. I'm looking to pick up a cheap diff right now!

Got mine through ebay seller "jdmgoods-net" he gets OEM used diffs from Japan with little miles on them for around $200-300.. honestly for a 1.5 way this guy is the way to go, better than spending a couple grand from the dealership!!

You will need to do multiple things.
1. Buy the stubs that are from a 370z with an LSD.. there are two versions of the stubs, so call nissan and make sure you get the ones for the LSD not the base.. I believe it is one long one and one short one. 2. Remove exhaust, and bracing to get to the diff 3. You will have to pull the diff, open it up and move the FD gear over to your new diff. This will be a direct bolt on. 4. Press in the stubs and be careful not to knick the oil seal, and make sure the little round clip is in correctly so that it doesnt pop out. 5. Put everything back and fill with fluid. |
