Rev limiter raised

Has anyone attempted to up the rev limiter to 8,000rpms vs. stock?
How high can the limiter be raised?

I have seen a few 8k limits running around...

Look around at the various Dyno graphs on here. Our cars dont really make much more power past the 7.6-7.8k rpm range. Might as well keep the engine safe and limit it to around that range, as raising it wont really give you much benefit in my opinion.

I've been running a 7,750 rpm rev limit for almost 2 years and have had no issues. I had my tuner Seb raise it because when you install full bolt ons, you gain much of that power in the upper revs.

I know a couple guys that did it with Osiris tunes, once you've got the A/F and timing in check it makes good power
