I've been told that the rear differential clunking is mostly due to slow shifting (or bad shifting) or the engine giving more power through the transmission than the tranny can smoothly handle.

I am also experiencing rattling noise from the rear of the vehicle. To describe the problem, it is kind of like a rattling / buzzing / static noise coming from the right rear of the trunk area. I have made numerous attempts to the dealership to identify the problem, and it is coming from the tail light assembly. At least that is the latest I was informed, and it is being looked up to fix by the Nissan Manufacturer.
At this point, there is no fix for it yet. Will keep on checking. I have already informed Nissan One on One Program advisor, and I have written a brief e-mail to Nissan Consumer Affair to report this problem. |

drove home the Z today from the dealer and have already experience hearing the rattling sound. I am still a newbie to stick shift and died a couple times. When i got home, i notice the rattling sound from the right side. Not sure if it's from the front or back. Could i have already damage something from stalling numerous times? i notice when i am on neutral and not stepping on the clutch that sound is there, but when i depress the clutch, the sound is gone. please help?!
