1st gear power issues?
 

hey guys Sheeps here. i just got back from my deployment and got my car out of buddys garage at base housing (he has no car). as i was leaving base, i went over their last speed bump and was no longer being watched by the nazi MPs, and floored it on the ramp to the interstate.
it was a beautiful launch, with a perfect shift into 2nd, 3rd, then traffic......
so i decided to go local and probably touch up on my clutching/shifting skills, as i hadnt driven since i was deployed.
anyways long story short, i found that there were some launches/take offs that had outstanding power, and a few where it feels like there is no power, then the rest are like 'meh works for me' power. like ill see the rpm needle go up rapidly but the car barely gains any momentum, gains momentum too rapidly, or just in the middle.
so i dunno if its the car, or just that i havent driven in a while and have to get used to the clutch again.

any suggestions?
and i it is my footwork, any tips?

ps we did an oil change before. b
