oh damn, I ordered that size of purlator and got a filtermag for the stock size oil filter. I'm gonna see if it works; or might have to return the filtermag to amazon.

Nope. Will never work. I'm going to buy one more filter later when I get home. And will measure it. I let u know what the measurement and I will place an order later too. Just measure the outside diameter then get te right one. I guessing around 3.5-4.0 inches.

i see what u talking bout. the problem is im using PL10193 filter. which is same size as stillen recommendation for their sandwich plate. u must double check your filter for leak some of the member got leak because they didnt use the filter that stillen recommend. so PL10193 is the alternative filter for stillen oil cooler system but if u fine with that filter (no issue/leak) then u good. dont need to spend money to get a bigger filtermag.

All filters made for our car should be approximately the same diameter so that they can safely seal around the housing... you shouldn't have any issue with any of the filters.

The longer oil filters (every mfg makes a "stock" size for us, and a similar one that's slightly longer and also works) all fit on our cars even with a sandwich plate. I run the K&N HP-1010 on top of a Mocal thermostatic plate just fine, and it even has that nut on the end of the longer-filter.

The one I'm using right now is way bigger/wider
I'm saying the outside diameter. The bigger the better right?? Correct me if I'm wrong. Should I stick to this filter?or use the one mentioned above (PL14610)

All compatible oil filters for this car should have the same diameter, just speaking in general about normal oil filter service. The Purlator number for the 370Z is PL14612. The PL14610 is a slightly longer version that also works (longer is better, assuming you don't have issues fitting due to aftermarket stuff).

I'm not sure why Stillen would recommend PL10193, but I'd guess that the sandwich plate must have a wide-enough surface to support it? I guess in theory wider is also better, assuming it seals correctly.
