Based upon what you have said so far, one of the following is happening:

1. You need to learn how to drive stick.
2. You are on uneven ground/gravel/etc that is causing VDC to activate.
3. Your car is broken and needs to be fixed.

I highly doubt your problem is number 1 if you are not having these problems shifting at higher RPM's. Unless you mean you are shifting at 1500 RPM's, then yes, you are bogging the engine. Get your RPM's up. No idea why that would activate VDC though. Number 2 is easy enough to test and if the problem, easy to rememdy by chosing a different route. So my money is on numer 3, in which case, learn how to replicate the problem with consistency and take it to a dealer.

Unless the car is under the 1500 RPM mark or on decent incline, this engine will not bog down in any appreciable way. I routinely drive at sub-2000 RPM levels and while acceleration is indeed slower, bogging never occurs.

Also, I am using the term bogging to mean the engine is basically incapable of making the vehicle accelerate with the gas pedal on the floor.
