JUN High Lift Exhaust Camshafts has be released

Can wait to see the results, I think any enhancement to the Z in N/A form past regular bolt ons is definitely a great thing.

How much did the cams end up costing you? This sounds like an interesting mod.

i'm going through the jun site, and it shows that the test was done using the jun cams and HI-comp piston kit, do i have to use this piston kit to yeild more results? and if so where can i purchase this hi-comp piston kit?

If by yield more results you mean see the horsepower gain that is show on the dyno graph, most likely, but then you wont know what power is coming from the cams and what is coming from the higher compression pistons.

And of course, adding the pistons will involve more labor as you'll have to tear into the short block.

that is true, we want to see what power the cams yeild alone, and higher copression pistons are a hastle to install im sure

Yes Cam only gains please. I would not be interested in new pistons unless I came across some serious money.

We spoke to JUN regarding a more "conventional" setup for the Z and what benefits the cams will provide.

On a car with only a catback exhaust, JUN expects gains in the 15-18 horsepower range (they specifically used PS, but the conversion is very close to that range). They didn't give any indication of what RPM range the power is added in, unfortunately.

Almost 20hp is not bad. And I'm guessing the more mods the better? I'm not to concerned with hp but I would like some more TQ

I'm more interested in what the gains are after full bolt-ons.

I think this will be banging on a Turbo setup. More air in More air out turbos come alive quicker and torque to hp numbers would be closer. Id even sacrafic a few horse power to get the torque to hp ratio come together.
