Yeah, it was literally one of the most worthless responses I've ever gotten. They offered no explanation at all. But you shouldn't have to run new pistons and rods to install cams and if the injectors and tune aren't needed either then I guess that means you should be able to drop them in a stock block no problem.

Okay...that tells me all I want to know. It won't do crap for you if you don't need a tune. Any internal engine mod that doesn't need a tune on a non-adaptive ECU is about the height of stupidity on a "new" car imo.

With a lift like 11mm I am pretty sure you will need to change out the valve springs. With that lift and duration revving pretty high chances are pretty good you will float a valve. If they do not offer a spring I would highly recommend finding out what spring you should use and how much seat pressure (open and closed) you will need to run. Also installed height and where the coil bind will be. I will try and do some more research on this over the weekend.

My best guess as to why they said you dont need a new tune is due to the fact that you will physically have to time the cam. This is only the exhaust cam and the vvel is only on the intake. I could be wrong, Im just making an assumption.

So these cams with new springs valves etc would make some serious power? I mean even if we have to change out the whole valve train and maybe injectors this might still be a cheaper option then 10K plus for a TT or SC even if we dont make the same power

They claim ~30hp. Order up a set if that is worth it to you.

Im mainly interested to see what these would do on a car with full bolt on's and no other engine work. Long tube header's, full catback and stillen gen III. If it showed decent power gains i would be in for a purchase.

I think that's what everyone wants to know. The problem is that it's a decent investment in both money and down time for something that MAY provide some gains. Not a lot of people willing to take that risk so that we can all know.

That's why I hate when companies do before and after dynos for a product, but add more than just said product on the after dyno. The fact that JUN did a whole lot more than the cams leads me to believe that without the other parts the dyno graph wouldn't have shown much of a difference and therefore would have made the cams much harder to sell.

Hopefully my fears are misplaced, but like I said in my other post, until someone ballsy enough (or someone that just has money to burn) picks up a pair and slaps them on a car with a stock engine we wont know how much of the additional horsepower on the graph is from the cams and how much of it was from the higher compression pistons.
