please help me
I put 0w30 castrol synthetic on my 370z. A guy toldme this. Oil are very bad for my engine this is true for do a change??
I am very worried
drain it and refill with 5W30 as mentioned by few members this am on your other oil thread that was locked by the moderators..
I saw this online the kinematic viscosity
AMSOIL 0W30 is 57.3 cST @ 40 °C, & 11.3 cST @ 100 °C AMSOIL 5W30 is 59.5 cST @ 40 °C, & 11.7 cST @ 100 °C AMSOIL 10W30 is 66.1 cST @ 40 °C, & 11.7 cST @ 100 °C They are all VERY close to each other, so it shouldn't do anything. Shouldn't be too far off on the castrol maybe.. |
Kenchan I told my mechanic put 5w30 and he put 0w30. I need to remplace it is bad? My engine have 23,050 miles

You're fine. It just means that it tends to be a bit thinner when cold, which means if anything it will flow more easily before the car is warmed up, potentially reducing wear at start up.
the Castrol Syntec 0w-30 is probably the BEST oil you can run in the VQ...I'd keep it
I would not be to worried . Its just a little thinner thats all. GL

On that note, I recommend 4K OCI's for this motor based on mine and others UOA results. |
