You need different lengths wrenches. I picked up a set of shorty wrenches that helped out a little. Just keep working at it and it will come off. The easiest way is to lower the engine by about 3 inches but not everybody has a lift to do this. But it can be done with the engine in place just make sure you get everything straight before tightning the bolts on the headers during installation. As far as putting on the cats to the headers you can clear putting them on together but it will take two people to hold it into place from the bottom to get the bolts started and hold it until you get them tight to ensure a good seal.

I forgot about that. the steering linkage is in the way. you can loosen the bold that holds it in place an lift up and it will disconnect. just ensure you mark both sides and dont let it spin around (etc) that way you can put it back together in the same location. it will be tricky to line it up and you will think it wont go back in but just keep working at it and it will go.
