What else can you do after the usual?
 

After the usual exhaust, intake, hfc/tp/longtubes and tune? Any other power adding mods short of forced induction?

I am a noob and just now realized we can't get aftermarket cams due to our engines having VVEL. So is this pretty much it for power mods short of FI?


edit: btw I am not interested in getting gears but I know those are available too

You could do pulleys if you want...

But after you've added all the power mods, best thing to do is make sure the drivetrain gets it to the street effectively. Work on Tranny mods. Should keep you busy till you're ready for FI. :tup:

I have been searching already man. An intake manifold hardly seems worth the money. they barely make any difference in power

After you do 'all the basics' as you put it, there really isn't that much more power left to get, so you scavenge everywhere you can.

What about 4.08 gears..? They say it's the most noticeable mod you can do to the car short of FI.

Dingle balls. Well, they won't add power but your Z will be the only one around with these.

I was putting that off for the same reasons, but apparently it only throws it off by a couple hundred RPMs, so it will still be usable. I'll know for sure this Saturday.
