Default Oil/Engine Temp Sensor

Where is it? Im too lazy to look through the manual Actually im at work and I usually browse the web in a screen that is a quarter size of my screen "prevent spying"... Its not registering at all. I got the car running last night and the oil needle didn't move at all.

Thanks a bunch

It's by the oil pan facing forward on the oil filter side.

So not in the pan but near it. MMhhmmm Ill get back under there and search for it. Im sure the wires got cut. Is the sensor actual "touching" the oil to register the temp? Just want to make sure I dont remove it and oil pours on me

Here's a pic of it. The sensor is just right of oil cooler lines you see here. Also if you pull it out oil will follow.

Temp is actually on the farthest right... the one nearest the filter is pressure.

He was actually looking for both sensors and there placements. We talked on the phone before I posted this pics. But for others that might be mislead good deal.

So, the indicated temp is the pan temperature? Meaning this it the coolest point just prior to entering the engine?

I would rather it be at the hottest point, after engine before cooler...

220 is a lot different coming out, than 220 going in.

Thanks,
N

Yeah, it's the coolest temp.
Like when you add an oil cooler you'll be reading the temp coming out of the cooler

Though the info is good... Thanks

I'll adjust my thinking... Sorry, I'm a numbers guy...

Run synthetic, stop worrying! Lol

I think the gauge made us all worried, fúck it, add an oil cooler, an oil plan spacer if you want, and just drive the fuckin thing
