Default Gear oil question

I'm doing my 4.08 gears install this weekend and wanted to know what gear oil to use. I read that Redline 75w90 was the way to go, but when I called around my local shops, the only one that carried it only had 80w90. Will this work for me or do I need to try another brand?

Also, when I spoke to one of the Nissan parts guys, he recommended I get GL-5 80w90. Is there a huge difference between 75w90 and 80w90? If so, what would you recommend?

Thanks!

I've been using gl5 80w90 for a while. Seems to work well so far.

Thanks for the info! Was it Redline or some other brand that you use?

I use Red-Line 75W90 synthetic. Much better than the crud attracting stuff Nissan uses.

I just put in Red Line 75w90.

This is the best price I found. Very fast shipping.
