Usually you have to get up more revs before you engage the clutch to prevent stalling it. But its not all too bad, you just get to relearn your clutch. The lower the flywheel inertia will allow downshifts to be smoother since the engine will rev more quickly. Also upshifts will be smoother since the engine will derev more quickly to the proper RPM. On my old set up shifts came lightning quick as the clutch engagement was pretty much immiediate. Heel toe'in was a breeze too. I can't wait to try it with S-mode...it should make our synchro-rev match work a whole lot better. |
