Has anyone put on the 370z differential bushings yet? I have them but I wasn't going to install after reading this review.

All right I just got back from the dealership. They will be replacing the whole sub frame under warranty but there is a catch. If it breaks again they will probably not replace it and file it under abuse. If I decide to give them my aluminum bushings that I have they will install them but that will automatically void my warranty on that part as well as power trans. which I don't know why it would. I don't want to push the issue b/c they are doing under warranty and they do know all the parts I have. Has anybody installed these SPL aluminum bushings made for the 370z on our cars? I tempted to just say screw it b/c well they won't fix it if it breaks again anyway.

My last project car was a 97 240sx, I replaced the diff bushings and subframe bushings with nismo rubber bushings, they are basically this super hard rubber. It resulted in 0 wheel hop and virtually no additional noise. Since they aren't available for our car, I plan on doing the whiteline diff bushings and hopefully someone comes out with something for our subframe. |

I'd wait for the whiteline bushings. That's my 2 cents.

In for updates. Knock on wood I dont have this problem but it might be a good idea to have the bushings ready just incase.

I'm going to try the Energy Suspension 350Z rear differential carrier bushings (part number 7.1119) at the end of the year. SPL told me in an e-mail the 370Zs rear subframe bushing is slightly smaller than the 350Zs "by a couple of thousandths". The two front mounts are the same diameter of course since they both have a R200 housing.

So, is there anything even close to the stock/rubber bushing that we can use? (personally talking about the 350z)
Mine has that streak down it since i bought it and i have experienced some really nasty wheel hop at times. It's a DD so i don't want anything solid, but i'd like to think there would be something like the Nismo extra hard rubber bushing available for it? |
